GreenTech Run 2019 Introduction

Background

GreenTech Run 2019 is the first running event organized by Green Catalyst Division under Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTech Malaysia) with the intention to promotes healthy lifestyle and eco-friendly life by informing the public on the eco-friendly practices. This program will be the platform to informing the public on the Governments’ initiatives as well as to promotes products and services offered by Green Catalyst Division.

Objectives

❑ To promote Green Catalyst’s Services such as training program, Green Technology Financial Scheme (GTFS), MyHIJAU Mark Product and Services and Green Incentive (GITA & GITE) to the public and industry players;

❑ To promote green and healthy lifestyle; and

❑ Opportunity for the public to know GreenTech Malaysia.

For the GreenTech Run 2019, we have opened up to 7 types of Category Registration as shown in below table which bring up to the total of 704 participants registered.

Outcomes

Below are the outcome of the completed events:

❑ About 60 peoples participated in Quiz & MyHIJAU Wheel to test basic knowledge and help them to improve their knowledge on green technology and climate change.

❑ The publics are aware on the roles and services provided by GreenTech Malaysia

❑ The Partners/ Sponsors exhibit their products and services such as: 

a.         Solar technology

b.         Energy  efficiency technology

c.         Products from recyclable material

d.         Electric vehicles

e.         Eco cleaning products

f.          Biodegradable and compostable products.

❑ Around 704 people participated in the event showing their support in healthy greener lifestyle with no plastic material were used throughout the event

On 31 October 2019, GreenTech Malaysia have organized Low Carbon Cities 2030 Challenge: City-Biz Alliance Session #1 – Energy event. Basically this event conducted to assist Local Authorities and Universities in conducting low carbon city activities. The first session is where Solutions Providers related to energy efficiency and sustainable energy were invited to share their products and services.

MyHIJAU Pavilion Introduction

Objectives

❑ To promote MyHIJAU Mark registered companies and other green companies that exhibit their products, services, projects and technologies to the users and visitors

❑ To introduce government initiatives in green technology development

❑ To provide consultancy services and business collaboration with the ministries, agencies, GLCs, state governments, local authorities and private sector

Concept

The Pavilion are designed to be as a green product/service’s showcase style by Sponsor companies with modern sustainability lifestyle-focused look and feel, giving visitors the opportunity to touch, feel and interact with green products, while also educating them about the new and innovative green offerings and technologies offered by sponsor companies. The theme chosen to be portrayed as “Accelerating the growth of Green Products & Services.

Vision

The vision is to highlight that MyHIJAU does not operate as a Recognition scheme alone and only as online directory, but it is a unifying platform that brings together, individuals, businesses and government bodies to work together in providing a conducive environment for Green Technology development.

Additional

In addition, we have held several activities at the Pavilion itself, for which we have invited relevant partners, stakeholders, and the media to attend. The activities are as listed below:
